How to Import a List of Symbols from Excel to the IPT

Purpose: The purpose of this article is to show you how to important symbols from an existing Excel spreadsheet to your own watchlist in the Infront Professional Terminal.

Step 1. Navigate to the main menu in the left top corner, select “Tools,” and then finally press on the “Watchlist” option to open a watchlist:

Step 2. Navigate to the “Actions” option and select “Import Symbols”:

Step 3. Here, you want to locate the symbol list that you want to import. Note that depending on the parameters you use to retrieve the information, you may or may not get a successful result:

Note: Symbol & Feed or ISIN + Currency usually work best here. In case your import returns a blank result that means the terminal was not able to correctly map your search result.

Step 4. Once you have confirmed that the import looks correct, you can go ahead and press “Import” to proceed with the import. Your result will look like this:

Step 5. To save this list, press on the “Save List” option:

Note: This will allow you to locate your saved list later. All your saved lists will be saved in our cloud system under your user profile. This means that no matter which computer you use to access Infront, you will always be able to access your corresponding lists:
